A Message From the Chief
Message from Robert F. MacKenzie, Chief of Police:
I am pleased to introduce you to the Kennebunk Police Department and invite members of the public to learn more about the ways in which the Department serves the community.
Ou
Police Departments have long recognized that reliable information and effective communication are two key elements to providing public safety and effective law enforcement. One of the most important ways in which we can communicate with the public is through this website. We use this to communicate with our citizens, to explain how we deliver policing services and consult widely on local policing matters. Our commitment to community policing demands an ability to establish dialogue with the community in order that we may be responsive to community needs and concerns.
Please take this opportunity to view our organization and the various sections within it, and understand the many ways in which we serve the community. We've outlined our community policing philosophy and offer considerable crime prevention information. The public is invited to gain access to information on crime statistics and view our Strategic Plan, as well as current news and press releases regarding public safety and policing activities within the community.
Thinking of joining our team? If so, you will find information on our website on how to apply to become a full-time or reserve police officer, along with any other position vacancies we may have.
Our website is continuously updated and work is ongoing to make sure we provide information that is relevant and of interest to readers. I welcome your views and comments regarding the content we provide and invite you to ask questions of myself or any member of the Kennebunk Police Department through email or by calling the office of the Chief of Police at 207.604.1339. Sign up to receive news and alerts from our department and be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter too!
