Tax Collector's Office

The Tax Collector's office performs a wide variety of department functions and citizen services such as:

  • Process payment of real estate & personal property tax payments.
  • Process and file 30 day notices, tax liens, tax discharges, quick claims and automatic foreclosures.
  • Process payment of various types of new vehicle & camper trailer registrations. NOTE: you do not pay excise tax on utility trailers so you need to go directly to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to register them.
  • Process payment of various types of re-registrations for vehicle & trailer registrations (you may be able to re-register your vehicle or trailer online using the State of Maine Rapid Renewal Service).
  • Process payment of Police issued parking tickets. If you intend to appeal your parking ticket; please follow instructions listed here.
  • Beach passes (resident & non-resident) are available for purchase.
  • Town Maps are available for purchase.
  • Trash bags (gray, blue & purple) are available for purchase.
