The Bartlett Mills Bridge crossing the Kennebunk River at the Arundel Town line is currently under construction. On July 6th, traffic patterns will be adjusted so all Route 1 traffic will utilize a temporary bridge just west of the construction area.
The new traffic pattern will have all motorists use the temporary bridge while the old bridge is removed and replaced. Full access north and southbound along Route 1 will remain. The traffic is expected to utilize the temporary bridge for several months while the new bridge is constructed. This work is being undertaken by CPM Construction with oversight by the Maine DOT.
