Board of Selectmen appoint Michael Pardue as Town Manager

Mike Pardue, Town Manager

The Kennebunk Board of Selectmen have appointed Michael W. Pardue as Town Manager for a three-year period beginning July 1, 2017.

Mr. Pardue has been serving as Kennebunk’s Town Manager since December 5, 2016 when long-time Town Manager Barry Tibbetts announced he would not seek renewal of his employment contract. The Board reached the decision to sign a three-year contract with Pardue following their assessment of his interaction with staff, residents and the business community.

Pardue brings a strong public and private background to the Town Manager position. He has served in the municipal sector as a Town Manager, Town Administrator, Chief of Police, Fire Chief, Director of Public Safety and Director of Public Services.

Pardue credits his success over the past few months to the strength of the municipal staff he manages. “I could not ask for a more supportive and professional group of personnel. My colleagues are dedicated, highly motivated and always demonstrate an unwavering commitment to provide the highest quality service possible. I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to work with the wonderful people that serve this great community,” said Pardue.
