Building Codes

The Town of Kennebunk is subject to the Maine Uniform Building and Energy Codes which consist of the following: 2009 Editions of the International Residential Code, International Building Code, International Energy Conservation Code, International Existing Building Code and the following standards such as Radon and Ventilation.   • NFPA Standards including standards for the following: NFPA 101/Life Safety Code, Standards for the Installation of Oil Burning Equipment NFPA 31, NFPA 211 Chimneys, Fire Places, Vents and Solid Fuel Appliances and Installation of Propane and Natural Gas Equipment NFPA with amendment.
